As a tutor providing homework help, you should be able to change the child’s attitude towards homework and look into why he is reluctant to do his homework. You must offer them incentives and motivation to do their homework.

There are very few kids who like doing homework. Most kids will do anything they can to avoid doing their homework. You could provide school goers with homework help and make them learn that doing homework is not all that bad after all. If you choose to be a tutor providing help with homework, then there will also be a lot of parents who will want more than just that and will require you to make their children learn through homework. Homework is an important part of learning as it helps get a recap of what is done in class, which in turn helps learn better and will make sure that you get a high rank.

You could provide help with homework at a venue or at the child’s house or even online. You could also do two of them together. You will have to put in a lot of effort to get children, many of whom are not interested and are only reluctant, to develop some interest and do their homework. If you provide homework help at home, then you will have the edge of speaking to the child in the eye, which helps some learners grasp better. IF you choose to do so online, then you also have the option of including creative strategies and entertaining games to keep the child interested. You must teach the child beyond that which he learns at school.

A good tutor will offer incentives and motivate their students to learn and will set up a homework routine that the student will follow even in his absence. He must be able to change the attitude of students towards homework into a positive one. You must also look into why the students are being unable to concentrate and make them work on it so that they have a better all-round development. Some students may not understand the concepts and may avoid homework due to this. You must gauge the strengths, needs and weaknesses of your students and work on all of them to make them advantageous to the student.
